1. She's going to die.
2. The room that she's been so happily decorating isn't actually her room - it's her tomb.
Of course, this came as quite a shock to her, and she very quickly set about rebelling against her parents in every way possible. And when her chance came to get out of Egypt and as far away from the pain in the butt that was her family, she got out as fast as she could.
I adored the parts with Egyptian mythology, and I could even deal with Isadora most of the time, but overall I was sort of lukewarm towards it. Although, I wish I could frame the cover and put it on my wall. It's so pretty! But, a pretty cover does not a good book make. I think that with this book, there is an audience that will love it, but I don't think that absolutely everybody should read it. If it happens to be on your library's shelf, sure you should pick it up and give it a go, but I wouldn't buy it unless you are 100% sure that you are one of the people in the 'Love It!!!' camp.
So, about my non-readingness: I have a really good excuse, okay? Here it is: I was reading too much. I know that most of you just went *scoff* Reading too much? That's not possible!, but trust me, I was. So I just ... stopped. I think that it was a really good thing for me to have done, and I might do it again (actually, I know that I'll do it again. Exams are coming up in January, and for a week before them I don't let myself read anything but my notes and my Bible. It helps me study.). I promise that next time I will have prewritten a post for you guys so that I don't just go MIA. Can you guys believe that there it's only a week until Christmas? AND, there's only like three weeks until our blog is an entire year old! That's crazy! I won't get to post again until Christmas, so Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone!
