Jennifer Strange lives in a world where everyone knows that there is magic, and it is used as a sort of a jack of all trades repairman. But magic is fading, soon there won't be any left, and that's bad for Jennifer and the company that she works for (is enslaved to?), whose sorcerers make a living off of the odd jobs people require them to do.
As always, you should probably check out the Goodreads description, as mine doesn't do the book justice. In the beginning there isn't a ton to do with Dragons, but you get into that later on. There is, however a Quarkbeast. I want a Quarkbeast. If anyone has a Quarkbeast, you should leave me a comment, because I want to know where you got it, so that I can get one too. My Quarkbeast shall be named Philip (which was, by the way, the 69th most popular boys name in 1910, and the name of Peter's manly unicorn from Narnia.), and I will totally understand exactly what he means from a single 'Quark!'. If for no other reason you read this book, read it for the Quarkbeast. The next book in the series has made it onto my list of books I want to get.
Okay, announcement time!
Drum-roll please! (Are you drum-rolling? Because you need to. I can wait. Go on. You're only allowed to read more if you're drum-rolling.)
Stay Addicted!

PS- Remember, I need to find out where to get a Quarkbeast!
